MU Health Care is reporting a data breach incident during which records may have been accessed inappropriately by a staff member.
Following an investigation, it was discovered that the individual accessed electronic medical records without authorization, compromising 736 records between July 2021 and March. The accessed information may have included patient details such as name, date of birth, medical record number, and limited treatment information.
MU Health Care has taken measures to prevent future incidents and assures that there is no evidence of misuse or further disclosure of the information.
