Quorum Federal Credit Union reported a data breach after discovering a vulnerability in the file transfer software MOVEit that allowed unauthorized access to confidential customer data.
During the investigation, Quorum confirmed that an unauthorized actor had accessed its MOVEit server between May 28 and May 30, 2023, resulting in the exposure of personal information.
The breach exposed sensitive information, including
- names,
- Social Security numbers,
- financial account details,
- driver's license numbers.
The breach is attributed to a vulnerability in the MOVEit program, developed by Progress Software, which was announced in May 2023.
Following the investigation, Quorum sent data breach notification letters to affected individuals. Unfortunately, no details are available as to the number of affected individuals.
