Wyoming County Community Health System (WCCHS), a public healthcare provider in Warsaw, New York is reporting that on March 28, 2023 they experienced an incident that led to unauthorized access of files within its network. This breach, officially reported on November 16, 2023, involved sensitive personal information of consumers.

The exposed data include

• names,
• Social Security numbers,
• driver's license or state identification numbers,
• birth dates,
• biometric data,
• medical and health insurance information,
• account numbers.

WCCHS identified the affected individuals and initiated the process of issuing notification letters to those whose information was compromised. At least 24,000 individuals are impacted by the attack.
